Mission and Goals:
The
mission of The German Cultural Society of Erie Pennsylvania is to
preserve German values, customs, language and music through education
and activities.
- The
Cultural Society of Erie Pennsylvania aims to unite German-Americans,
share our German culture in the community through special events and
charity functions.
- We encourage pride in the contributions of German-Americans to American life.
- The German Cultural Society fosters harmonious relations between the United States and German-speaking countries of Europe.
- We
also cooperate with other local ethnic groups and historical societies.
The German Cultural Society of Erie Pennsylvania is a non-profit
organization and all funds are kept and used in the Erie area.
- We
are a fast growing community and engage in many social activities of
particular interest to our members, e.g. German American Day, German
Fests, picnics, dances, Karneval and Christmas celebrations.
Meeting Location and Date:
All are invited to attend our meetings and events. We meet the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Erie Männerchor Club, 1607 State St. in Erie. If you wish to dine with us prior to the meeting call 814-838-6764.
